Gospel singer Dumi Mkokstad is reportedly suing an event organiser for publicly accusing him of sleeping with men.
The accusations were reportedly made by Aviwe Gqomfo who claimed that Mkokstad was rich because he was getting paid to sleep with me.
This was allegedly posted onto Gqomfo’s social media, in a post that has since been taken down.
The event organiser posted the defamatory statement onto his Facebook account which received over 700 comments.
While Gqomfo denied posting the slanderous allegations, as per reports by Zimoja, the event organiser had also taken things further by saying Mkokstad did not get initiated in the mountains as per Xhosa customs.
However, Dumi Mkokstad is not letting the matter die without pursuing legal recourse.
When asked to speak about the reports he is seeking legal action, Mkokstad said, “I don’t want to comment further on the matter as I am taking legal action against Gqomfo. I am aware of the allegations he made against me through his Facebook page. It’s a long story. He must explain why he made those allegations, my lawyer is handling the matter.”
