In December 2023, the beloved radio personality Cliff Nhlamulo Hlungwani, also known as DJ Mulo, sadly passed away after a long battle with cancer.
His death, at the age of 38, left a profound sense of sorrow among his industry peers, many of whom shared stories of how he had impacted their lives.
On February 17, 2024, DJ Mulo’s partner, Ntokozo Molefe, took to social media to honor him on what would have been their wedding day. Molefe found solace in knowing that Mulo was laid to rest in the suit he had picked out for their special day. “It brings me a sense of comfort that we got to see what you would’ve looked like today,” she shared.
Ntokozo also expressed the pain of losing him, acknowledging that their shared dreams and plans now felt overshadowed by grief.
This past Valentine’s Day, Ntokozo noted that memories are “all we’re left with” and that it breaks her down to the bone that that’s the only place “I’ll ever get to see you again.”
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Muls. Thank you for loving me to the end, babe.”
