South African music producer DJ Karri recently hung out with retired South African football player Lerato Chabangu who has fallen on tough times.
Chabangu recently appeared on the TV show I Blew It, where he opened up about the poor decisions that led to his financial downfall.
The 39-year-old admitted to sending money to his ex to cover his monthly expenses, only to later discover she wasn’t using it for that purpose.
The turn of events led him to retire from the sport he loved. “I lost everything I worked so hard for. It feels as though I never played soccer. I have nothing to show for it. I lost faith in life, even when people offered to assist me,” Chabangu recounted.
Additionally, Chabangu shared that he doesn’t want to go to malls anymore because people laugh at him. To help him overcome his fear of going out in public, Chabangu took him out for lunch at a mall.
