Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo and his long-term partner Georgina Rodríguez have married in the Portuguese coastal town of Cascais.
The ceremony capped a 10-year relationship and fulfilled their engagement announced exactly one year prior. Ronaldo, 41, marked the occasion on Instagram by sharing a photograph of the couple’s wedding rings accompanied by the caption “C ♥ G”.
The private nuptials brought an end to days of feverish media speculation across Portugal regarding where the high-profile couple would marry, with rumour mills suggesting potential venues in Sintra or Funchal, Madeira.
Hundreds of onlookers had previously gathered outside Madeira Cathedral over the weekend following unverified local reports.
Ronaldo, who currently plays for Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr following his summer World Cup appearance with Portugal, shares a global profile with Rodríguez, 32.
The model and influencer expanded her own international audience through the Netflix reality series I Am Georgina, which documents the family’s lifestyle spanning football, high fashion, and international travel.
