Calling all cotton eaters to the front as Cotton Fest 2023 returns.
Founded by late cultural innovator and rapper Riky Rick, Cotton Fest 2023 returns to the vibrant streets of Johannesburg on the 4th of February 2023.
The cultural event and concert has recently announced and confirmed a line-up of more than 150 artists.
The line-up for Cotton Fest 2023 will include the likes of Uncle Waffles, Nasty C, Cassper Nyovest, Ms Cosmo, Costa Titch, Emtee, DJ Maphorisa and Distruction Boys, just to name a few.
Riky Rick died in February 2023 after taking his own life.
Not only did Riky’s death come as a shock to many of his fans and peers, but his death sparked conversation around depression and how men and boys deal with issues of around mental health.
The festival will include lifestyle elements like a Retail Fashion Store called the Tuck-shop, Sports Area, University Cafeteria /Food Court; a Customisation Station; a Basketball Court; and a Live Art Installation.
Cotton Fest is meant to celebrate the legacy and life of Riky Rick.
