The mother of late South African rapper Costa Titch, real name Costantinos Tsobanoglou has pleaded for help while awaiting her son’s toxicology report.
Costa Titch passed away on March 11, 2023, aged 27. The rapper collapsed on stage while performing at the Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead.
The grieving mom revealed that The National Health Laboratory Services could “take months or even years to finalise toxicology tests.”
This has left her frustrated.”This means I am not the only mother in South Africa that has to wait for answers. It also means if anyone did poison my son, they could get away with murder,” she expressed.
Titch’s mom is “pleading for help to get answers as even the police cannot do anything without these medical results.”
Her post comes after she took to social media to promise her late son that “she would not rest” until she found out what happened to him.
Costa Titch began his musical career in 2016 and rose quickly through the ranks. His 2020 breakout single Nkalakatha featuring Riky Rick and AKA made him one o South Africa’s sought-after stars.
In 2021 he released a joint album with AKA titled You’re Welcome.
