Cassper Nyovest defends his decision to make popular music.
One of the rapper’s fans took to Twitter to ask him why he doesn’t make more songs like Egyptian Cotton – a reflective record from his 2020 album ANM and features R&B legend, Anthony Hamilton.
The rapper said he’d be broke and miserable if he only made songs like that because they don’t make money here in Mzansi.
“I would be miserable cause I wouldn’t be able to fully express myself the way I want to. I’m more than just a rapper,” explained Mufasa.
The Family Tree rapper boss been widely criticized for his lack of creativity and originality in his music.
Say what you say about him, but if there’s one thing he has mastered – that is commercial appeal.
Cassper was one of the lucky few South Africans who were flown to the US for the NBA All-Star weekend. He got to run shoulder with some celebs over there.
“My first time seeing snow, meeting dope people,” he said in part about the experience.
