Cassper Nyovest has been deeply affected by the passing of Riky Rick as the two go way back.
The two rappers might have not been on the best terms over the last two years or so but one can’t deny that theirs was a special friendship.
Opening up about the last conversation which was back in January, Cassper says Riky told him not to worry because everything will be alright.
“Your last words to me on January 9th was “Don’t worry Boizen, you gone be ayt. Hold it down Boyz! Im out!”
He also reveals that he’s been struggling to come to terms with Riky’s untimely passing.
“I don’t know if we’ll be ayt Riky. The load is sooo heavy. All these pictures and memories are fucking me up cause I thought we had a chance to create more in good time.”
There was so much more that he wanted to tell Riky. “Every morning is harder than the last. There’s so much I wanted to tell you, I don’t know if it means anything now. I am going to miss you ma dawg,” he wrote.
Riky Rick’s funeral service was held on Tuesday morning in Johannesburg. It was attended by his close friends, family, and select media.
This Friday, 4 March 2022 a special tribute will be held for the late musician and fashion icon.
