Cassper Nyovest led a congregation at the Miraculous Catch Youth Revival 2024 held in Durban, talking about how he overcome his addiction to sex by finding his path as a born-again Christian.
The South African rapper who opened up about his addiction earlier this year, quoted Matthew 11 in his testimony, and reflected on the day “God spoke to him”, prompting him to turn around his life.
Refiloe Maele Phoolo, better known as Cassper Nyovest said he was someone who had slept with so many women because that was what he was chasing at the time.
Lying to women that he loved them, while he felt nothing for them because he felt “powerful conquering another human being.”
After sleeping with multiple women, Cassper shared that he realized he didn’t get any satisfaction from it, despite telling himself “it’s going to be different this time.”
Cassper who married his friend Pulane in April said he knew she was the one because her faith in Christ mirrored his choice to reform his life.
“My girlfriend at the time (now wife), we got saved together and I said to her ‘you know we can’t have sex anymore until marriage’.
I actually want to start a ministry where I speak to men and talk to them about leaving this thing (sex).
Many may call me names and question my salvation, but God has called me, and I answered with pride. To lead the lost man of today! I’m not better than anyone. I’m just different from my old self, for the grace of God is upon me! Thank you, Lord!”
