At Friday night’s 15th edition of Miss Supranational Africa 2024 in Nowy Sącz, Lesser Poland, Bryoni Govender emerged victorious and was awarded a special prize.
She was a runner-up in the Miss South Africa 2023 and participated in the Miss Universe.
Govender, a Johannesburg resident with a bachelor’s degree in law, expressed her excitement and honor at being able to compete in the Miss Supranational pageant on social media.
“Dear younger Bryoni, you are divinely created. But the world will make you feel less worthy because of your shade of skin. It will become your biggest insecurity. But keep going because this will also one day become your superpower. God has many blessings and gifts in store for you! You will become a lawyer and advocate for those who are yet to find their voice, and on 6 July 2024 you will boldly stand on a global platform fully embracing yourself and representing your country 🇿🇦 So keep going”
I am so grateful for this entire experience. Thank you everyone for your love and never ending support ♥️”
