South African football legend and former Manchester United coach, Benni McCarthy, is celebrating a special milestone as his daughter, Allegra, recently turned 16 years old.
Benni took to social media to share his joy, saying:
‘Happy 16th birthday, Allegra, hope you have had a lovely day. Love you very much.”
Benni shares Allegra with his ex-wife, Maria Santos, from Spain. The pair also have two other children together.
English Premier League side Manchester United recently announced that they had parted ways with Benni McCarthy.
The 46-year-old joined the Red Devils as a first-team coach in 2022, with a focus on the strikers department.
McCarthy and Mitchell van der Gaag have left the club. United have now appointed Rene Hake and Ruud van Nistelrooy as assistant managers of the men’s first team
Erik ten Hag, first-team manager, said: “I am delighted that Rene and Ruud have agreed to join our project, adding a wealth of experience, knowledge and new energy to the staff. Now is a good time to refresh the coaching team as we look to build on the achievements of the past two years and push to the next level.”
Additionally, he thanked Benni for his contribution to Man United.
