Showmax has confirmed that production has started on the second season of their drama series, Adulting.
Adulting follows four friends whose strong bond has held them together after varsity, even as their journeys in life have taken them in very different directions. As they try to grow as men, finding love, success, and the best nightlife spots in Jozi, they turn to each other for laughs and support.
The drama series is created by Tshedza Pictures, which has won five Best Scriptwriting SAFTAs in the past four years for shows such as The Republic and The River.
Tshedza Pictures confirmed that all four lead actors are returning for Season 2. While details of the new season remain under wraps for now, Phathu says the Showmax Original will remain “a fun show about good times and brotherhood, with lots of heart,” grounded in the migrant experience in Jozi, where “you leave your town of origin and come to Joburg as an adult, and the friends you make in that time become your family.”
Nhlanhla Kunene shares why he’s not having sex
Adulting actor, Nhlanhla Kunene recently opened up about why he’s not engaging in promiscuous sex, despite receiving a lot of attention and love from female fans of the show.
“Life is ever-changing. I had to remove myself from the trends, fame, and distractions because I asked God for this work, so I could provide for my family and I focused on that.
“That’s what I’m trying to do. You can’t give everyone a chance. Also, this industry comes in waves, remember when The Wife was trending? Right now, Adulting is trending and all the rage, but a new show is coming soon, and then what?
“So, if I ride on this wave, and chase after women, what does that say about me and my craft?”
