Mzansi Magic has announced a new reality show, Ngicel’iVisa.
The show gives committed couples a platform to seek permission from each other to explore whether unresolved feelings for an ex or crush still exist.
“I-Visa” is kasi slang for asking permission to “step out” of a relationship for a set period. Reasons for requesting an “i-Visa” can vary. It could be a partner preparing for a marriage proposal but feeling unsure due to lingering feelings for an ex, or a couple planning to move in together, with one partner wanting to check if they still have a desire to reconnect with a former flame.
The person requesting the “i-Visa” spends one night with their ex or crush, after which they must decide whether to continue the relationship or end it. Talk about drama!
The show will be presented by radio, club DJ, and TV presenter Warrick Stock, also known as DJ Warras.
Each 24-minute episode of Ngicel’iVisa promises tension, hard truths, and turning points, daring to ask the questions and confront the uncertainties that most couples are too afraid to face.
Ngicel’iVisa premieres on Tuesday, 7 October at 8PM.
