Real Housewives of Durban cast member Minnie Ntuli has publicly addressed the controversy surrounding her conduct on the latest season of the popular reality show.
In a candid and heartfelt statement, Ntuli acknowledged the hurt she caused both on and off screen, offering a sincere apology to those affected by her behaviour.
“Watching the show back has been deeply confronting,” Ntuli wrote. “I am appalled by how I behaved, and I take full accountability for the role I played.”
Her statement comes amid mounting criticism from viewers and fellow cast members who were disturbed by some of her actions on the show.
Ntuli expressed remorse for the pain caused and confirmed that she has taken steps to personally and publicly reach out to the women affected.
She also extended an open invitation for in-person conversations to mend those relationships, should the other parties be open to it.
Beyond the show’s context, Ntuli addressed the wider implications of her actions on her professional life, particularly her role on her radio.
“While my work on radio and my presence on the show are two separate platforms, both Gagasi FM and I agree that it is important I take accountability,” she said.
Ntuli also acknowledged the emotional toll this experience has taken on her personal life, noting that her actions have disappointed not only her colleagues and family, but also the loyal listeners who tune into her show daily.
In response, she has made the decision to temporarily step away from her radio duties to focus on healing and self-improvement.
“I’ve decided to take some time off to reflect, to seek healing, and to work on myself with the help of counselling. I will also be using this time to personally reach out to those I have hurt and to actively begin the process of atonement.”
Closing her statement, Ntuli expressed gratitude to those who offered her support, guidance, and even tough love in the wake of the controversy.
“Your words have been an important part of my reflection, and I will carry them with me as I do the work to become a better, more grounded version of myself.”
