Social media personality and influencer Kefilwe Mabote has once again ignited online discussions with a dramatic spiritual gesture involving a high-end fashion item.
Months after publicly burning several Versace pieces, Mabote recently shared a video of herself setting fire to a Christian Dior tote bag, sparking a fresh wave of reactions.
Earlier this year, Mabote made headlines when she torched Versace items bearing the iconic Medusa logo, explaining it as a symbolic act of releasing “idols” that had unknowingly gained significance in her life.
This time, the burning of the Dior bag carried a more personal and profound meaning for the influencer.
In her Instagram stories, Mabote described the luxury item as a potential “gateway” and a “soul tie” disguised as a gift residing in her wardrobe.
“Burnt it like the altar of Baal. I refuse to carry spiritual baggage dressed as sentiment. If it wasn’t sealed in covenant, it has no place in my life,” she declared.
Despite her explanation rooted in spiritual conviction, Mabote’s act resulted in mixed reactions from her followers and the wider public.
