South African DJ and reality TV star Boitumelo Motsoeneng, popularly known as Gogo Skhotheni, has added a new title to her growing list of achievements: actress.
The media personality has officially made her acting debut in the Mzansi Bioskop movie Puseletso, stepping into the role of Sister Rachel, a strict yet loving choir conductor.
Mzansi Bioskop, known for telling authentic township stories that reflect the everyday lives of ordinary South Africans, provided the perfect platform for Skhotheni’s first foray into acting. Sharing her excitement, she described the moment as a dream come true.
“My heart is full. Today I stepped into my very first acting role as Sister Rachel. A dream I’ve carried quietly has finally come to life. Forever grateful for this opportunity, the team, and the journey ahead. Ngiyabonga,” she said.
This milestone marks yet another chapter in Skhotheni’s evolving journey. Earlier this year, she announced that she was stepping away from her work as a traditional healer to fully embrace Christianity.
Now, with her acting debut, Skhotheni is proving that reinvention and pursuing one’s dreams are always possible.
