Actress and burgeoning talent, Nirvana Nokwe, has officially joined the ranks of the Class of 2025, celebrating her graduation from the prestigious Academy of Sound Engineering in Johannesburg.
Nokwe is a multi-talented actress, musician, model, host, and thought leader, born and raised in Johannesburg with strong family roots in KwaMashu, Durban.
Coming from a family deeply entrenched in the arts, including her mother, artist Tu Nokwe, and her aunt, Mango Groove member Marilyn Nokwe, Nirvana began her professional journey in entertainment at a young age.
She is known for her roles in shows like the BBC Family’s Quarx, the Emmy-recognised Reyka as Mbali Msomi, and most recently as Sihle Biyela in the Showmax Original Outlaws and Busi Mhlongo in Red Ink. Beyond acting, she is also a trained singer, music producer, and filmmaker, passionate about directing and transforming creative industries through equity design.
Her graduation from the Academy of Sound Engineering marks a significant step in her diverse and promising career.
The accomplished performer shared her joyous milestone on Instagram, posting a beaming video of herself in her cap and gown, simply captioned, “Oh I’m so happy.”
