NESTLÉ NESPRAY has launched its new partnership with South African Mathematics for The NESTLÉ NESPRAY South African Mathematics Challenge in making mathematics fun for children in school again. In South Africa studies show that children in our schools struggle with Mathematics and Science and a lot of our children need support and to make these subjects fun and entertaining for them to grasp the concepts and do well in them.
The South African Mathematics Challenge is to support teachers and learners in making mathematics attractive and bringing it to the forefront as a subject needed to build a brighter future in South Africa.
The maths competition will take place annually and will be organised by the South African Mathematics Foundation. The aim is to empower pupils to become independent, creative and critical, this challenge also aims to empower learners to become independent, creative and critical thinkers who will be able to interpret and critically analyse everyday situations that will allow them to solve problems. PhD in Mathematics honouree and Lecturer Dr Dephney Mathebulasays that we use maths in our everyday life – we need to encourage our children to enjoy maths.
The NESTLÉ NESPRAY is looking forward to empower and promotes teamwork, enthusiasm and helps to develop future leaders and influencers in science, engineering, and marketing sciences across all walks of life.
