Duduzane Zuma challenges the ruling party’s leadership at the 2022 ANC Elective Conference.
Speaking to Kaya Drive’s Sizwe Dhlomo exclusively in April, Duduzane made his presidential bid clear and urged South Africans to stop comparing him to his father, former president Jacob Zuma.
The businessman has confirmed he is to run for ANC leadership in December 2022 and in the general elections in 2024. Duduzane Zuma has been conducting media interviews since making his political ambitions clear and reiterates that his political plan is not to compete with any other politician.
At 37, Duduzane Zuma challenges the ANC leadership and calls for the people of South Africa to unite and is focusing on building the country.
He has been vocal about the #FreeZuma looting and protests that gripped the country, sharing his sentiments that people were desperate due to poverty, unemployment and hunger.
In his recent interview on Newsbreak Lotus, Duduzane said that he was allowed to dream big and set his late start in the political realm into motion. Many have weighed in on his political plan with some in support that he will be successful at rallying the youth and others critical of his previous involvement with corrupt Indian businessmen, the Gupta brothers.
However, he did stress during his interview on Kaya 959 that while there has been speculation about his involvement with the controversial businessmen, no charges or proof have been brought forward.
