With lockdown restrictions making their return as COVID 19 cases rise, the popular Lockdown House Party has kept many South Africans who love groove entertained. Conceptualised by Tembisa born DJ Shimza, this show brings bi-weekly sessions of DJ’s sets and performances to Channel O.

In a post he made, DJ Shimza shared how exciting the project was and how it was a vehicle for many artists to showcase their talent. “ The beauty of the show is meeting different talented artists that get there and put in their all! One by one, the platform will do its part in contributing to many careers.”

The return of Lockdown House Party comes at a time when many artist’s livelihoods are affected, with no gigs and alternative sources of income many fighting are for survival. The show is one of the few platforms that offer them a nationwide audience.

Lockdown House Party airs on Fridays (20:00 to 00:00) and Saturdays (18:00 until midnight 00:00)
