Over the last two months, no celebrity has trended more than podcaster Mac G.
Following the premiere of his infamous episode with Jub Jub, Mac G has been topping the trending charts.
In the episode, Jub Jub said that he had ‘smashed’ Amanda du Pont, and their relationship ended because of Kelly Khumalo.
Amanda called Jub Jub and MacG out for ridiculing her and dragging her on the platform. She also revealed that the Uyajola 99 presenter emotionally and physically abused her.
“I was raped, physically and emotionally abused for two years by Jub Jub. The only thing I did wrong was keep quiet. But that ends here; I will not be publicly ridiculed by this criminal.
“Him and Mac G saw it fit to drag my name on their podcast for clout at the cost of amplifying a Gender-Based Violence Case. Any Attorney that can help me with a cease and decease letter or help with dealing with this man legally, please reach out. So that he can keep my name out his mouth.
“Not because I can’t afford it but because I want to make this a public fight. The fight is bigger than me. Dedicated to the woman who never make it out and end up dead,” her post read.
DJ Sbu was another celebrity who was not impressed with the episode. He called out MacG for alluding that he was gay.
“@macgunleashed official_jubjub is this how you thank me, my brothers?”
Sports presenter Minnie Dlamini-Jones also slammed the episode and called it the most degrading piece of content she has ever seen.
“The Mac G and Jub Jub podcast is the most degrading piece of content I wish I never consumed. I couldn’t even finish it! You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Women can’t be spoken about like this, and it’s condoned?! Do better!!!” Her tweet read.
