Andile Mpisane also referred to by some of his admirers as the ‘New Age Jomo Sono’recently made his debut with Royal AM FC, wearing the number 10 jersey embellished with his initials, a team he both owns and leads as Chairman.
The team which plays in the GladAfrica Championship has left Tweeps concerned that the coach will have a tough job, especially when it comes to benching the Chairman.
Andile who is also a Gqom artist, made his debut this Sunday and came on as a second-half substitute in the club’s 3-1 win over Uthongathi FC at the Princess Magogo Stadium.
Videos of his first match have been seen all over social media with many accessing his ball-handling skills, and questioning if he possesses any talent.

The team has come to his defence, saying they are really not bothered by the social media reaction to their Chairman’s interest in playing for his team, adding that the number 10 jersey has been reserved. They expressed concern over people’s obsession with the young businessman.

Royal AM FC is doing relatively well at this stage and is currently sitting in fourth place of the GladAfrica Championship standings, just three points away from log leaders Sekhukhune United.
