Residents of Slovo informal settlement are not happy this morning after City Power shut down illegal connections in the area on Thursday.
Officials confiscated cables to the value of R500 000 and found that businesses in the Brixton area were also benefitting from illegal connections.
Several butcheries, restaurants, a garage and hardware store in Mayfair were illegally connected and had bypassed meters.
