Despite having her own line of alcoholic drinks and claiming the title of ‘Champagne Queen,’ Bonang Matheba calls on South Africans to drink responsibly over the Easter weekend.
Taking to Twitter yesterday, the House of BNG business hot-shot sent her message out to fans urging them to stay safe and not drink and drive over the long weekend.
….please stay safe this weekend guys… no drinking & driving… go phela go monate blind! ?

Her message comes after Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma addressed the media this morning, following the President’s adjustments to the Level 1 restrictions during Easter.
In her address, the Minister stressed that a zero-tolerance policy will be adopted by police with regards to the transport of alcohol for off-site consumption during the long weekend.
Bonang’s message comes as holidaymakers start making their way to various holiday destinations.
Officials say one of their main objectives during this long weekend is to reduce the number of pedestrians killed on the roads.
Last year 28 people lost their lives on the roads over Easter with pedestrians contributing to around 38% of that figure.
Gauteng traffic officials say there are a number of factors that contribute to crashes on the roads, driving under the influence of alcohol one of them.
Bonang’s alcohol label is pushing for her drinks to be enjoyed in the safety of your home this Easter.
Celebrate your Easter weekend with the joy of bubbles and family! The #HouseofBNG looks forward to making new sparkling memories with you and your loved ones.✨ pic.twitter.com/o7lINmegsj
