The wait is finally over as Rihanna has new music dropping on Friday, 28 October.
Rihanna made the announcement on Wednesday, 26 October at the premiere of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever movie.
Lift Me Up, is the title of the new track from the Barbadian singer, which will feature on the movie’s soundtrack.
Rihanna who is pitted to make a musical comeback after a 6-year hiatus, is gearing up for a Superbowl half-time performance in February.
The Love On The Brain singer, welcomed her first child earlier this year with her partner A$AP Rocky.
Rihanna’s new single was co-written by her and Nigerian artist, Tems, and the track will be a tribute to the late Black Panther actor, Chadwick Boseman.
Boseman died is 2020, shortly after the success of the first Black Panther movie, after losing his battle with cancer.
The movie soundtrack will release on 04 November and the movie will be released worldwide on 11 November.
Describing the track, Tems said it speaks to all the people he’s lost in his life, and wanted it to be an expression of how much they’re missed.
“Rihanna has been an inspiration to me, so hearing her convey this song is a great honour. The song was written to portray a warm embrace from all the people I’ve lost in my life. I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I could sing to them now and express how much I miss them.”

Rihanna’s last album was Anti, which was released in 2016 and her fans around the world have been waiting patiently for new music from the star.
