This year’s Oscars were certainly eventful, to say the least.
Award-winning musician and nominee, Beyonce Knowles-Carter graced the 94th Academy Awards with her presence.
Beyonce opened the Academy Awards performing her song Be Alive, from the critically acclaimed biopic about Serena and Venus Williams’ father, King Richard.
The performance took place at a tennis court in Compton, California, where Venus and Serena ran drills as children and pays homage to both sisters.
Introduced by Venus and Serena, Beyonce was joined by an orchestra and dancers including her 10-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter who made an unexpected cameo.
Fans spotted Blue, who was dancing amongst backup dancers, all wearing the same shade of neon yellow that resembled the colour of a tennis ball.
At just 10 years old, Blue-Ivy Carter has won a Grammy Award, NAACP Image Award, and now performed at the Oscars, solidifying herself as a multi-talented young star.
