There are many things we do each day without giving that much thought. These include; eating the same food, watching the same soapies every day, and using the same route to get to work.
Are you looking to break free from your routine to make your life more interesting?
Graduate researcher under the Department of Pediatrics and Women & Children’s Health Research Institute, Peter Anto Johnson shares three strategies to help you break from routine.
Diversion
During breaks use your time to play sports, games, etc.
Incorporation
There are tasks in your daily life or at work or school where play can be incorporated. For example, turn repetitive tasks into things that don’t require that much thinking such as sorting files with colleagues.
Conversion
So change what you are doing completely. Ask for tasks that are more fun at work or take on interactive and engaging courses for fun.
