“It’s great to love but it’s heavely to be loved”– Tsepo Tshola as he opened his recent show at Bassline Live. He paid tribute to the late Mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela with his classic “Ho Lokile”, stirring emotions in the the crowd, tears were shed as they sang along.

Tshola shared some of his childhood memories with the crowd, amongst the crowd his family and childhood friends. His charismatic nature showed as he shared Christmas stories from his Lesotho hometown. His sons Kamo and Katleho graced the stage singing one of his hits “Shine Your Light” infusing the new sounds, creating a hip-hop-infused track. Their father listened with pride.
Ntate Tshola closed down the house with “Now or never” by Sankomota – a group he was a part of at the beginning of his music journey. The crowd danced and sang along, chanted “we want more” as the red curtains came down at the Lyric Theatre.
