Who knew South Africans loved the movie Anaconda this much.
According to the recently released figures, the 1997 thriller, Anaconda has pulled over 2,4 million viewers.
Social Media blogger Phil Mphela shared how about 2.4 million viewers tuned in to enjoy the film all over again.

The 1997 film starring Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube continues to bring in numbers for etv.
Last week when it returned to the channel, the film pulled over 2.4-million viewers.

The storyline of the movie involves filmmaker Terri Flores played by Jennifer Lopez, who is travelling deep in the Amazon jungle looking for a forgotten tribe.
In the movie, Terri and her crew, which includes an anthropologist (Eric Stoltz) and a cameraman (Ice Cube), come across Paul (Jon Voight), who is stranded on the riverbank which is filled with anaconda.

The movie continues to be a hit despite the fact that it has been repeated countless times.
Earlier this month One SA Movement Leader Mmusi Maimane was fuming when he saw the movie being promoted on social media, comparing the channel to the ruling party.
