Congratulations to all the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) nominees.
The nomination announcement was made on Wednesday evening.
Amapiano star Kabza De Small dominated the list with six nominations including ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Male Artist of the Year’ and ‘Best Amapiano Album’.
Another artist who got several nominations is Bucy Radebe.
The Gospel star broke onto the music scene in 2020 with the release of her debut album ‘Spiritual Encounter’. The album’s lead single ‘Uzugcin’impilo Yam’ had over a million views on YouTube within a few months of release. To date, the album has 13-million streams.
The songstress received four nominations including ‘Sofnfree Female Artist of the Year’, ‘White Star Newcomer of the Year’, ‘Best Traditional Faith Music Album’ and ‘Best Live AudioVisual Recording’.
Babes Wodumo’s ‘Idando Kazi’ received a nomination for ‘Best Gqom Album’.
Sho Madjozi and Nomcebo Zikode are also nominated for the ‘Sofnfree Female Artist of the Year’.
