“Allegations made by Mr Tokyo Sexwale on alleged billions that have been deposited at the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) points to a common scam.” -ANC administration
This was the response to the mindblowing revelations by Tokyo Sexwale in an eNCA interview over the weekend.
The businessman and ANC veteran claimed that money that was donated by international funders to a ‘Heritage Fund’ was stolen. The fund was said to be a financial reserve for COVID relief, student debt, and general poverty schemes.
Tokyo claimed billions of Rands was managed through the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
Meanwhile, the SARB and National Treasury are now challenging Tokyo to provide evidence.

Below is the full response by the ANC to the allegations:
The hashtag #TokyoScammed is meant to divert attention away from the truth. I challenge Treasury to issue a statement denying that part of the R500 billion meant for relief was never stolen.
