A 38-year old Alberton man has won the R63 million Lotto jackpot. Coming forward to claim his millions from the draw that took place on 4 December, the man cannot believe his fortune.
An employee at a gas company, the Lotto winner is married and plans on buying a house and taking a holiday.
Having lived with extended family for years, the man and his wife are currently renting a house.
He has been playing the Lotto since 2013 and usually uses his own combination of numbers. Normally the man selects important family dates, like birthdays or the ages of his children.
On the day he purchased the winning ticket, he took a R100 quick-pick. The Alberton man met his wife on a dating app and they have been married for 7-years.
Still in shock, the man and his wife have received financial advice on investment opportunities.
According to Lottery Operator iThuba, they are still looking for the R14 million Lotto Plus 2 winner from this Wednesday’s draw.
That winning ticket was bought in Bridgton, Oudtshoorn, in the Western Cape.
