‘Ngowakho’ is the latest single by Afrotraction and Unathi, just in time to celebrate a new season of love. The South African R&B and neo-soul musician and producer, teamed up with Kaya 959 Midday Joy host and soulful songstress Unathi and the result is an ode to African love.
The song was first played on Midday Joy on Friday and is currently available on all streaming platforms including Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer.
Unathi’s smooth vocals on the chorus touches the heartstrings and the media personality described the track aptly as THE love song of the year.
Ngowakho was written by both Unathi and Afrotraction and fans of the TV and radio presenter are pleased with the outcome.
South Africans have been requesting new music from the singer and Idols SA judge for a while and the wait is finally over.
“A LOVE SONG written and performed By the INIMITABLE GENIUS that is @afrotraction_ and I.
Love made me write this song😂❤️It is so BEAUTIFUL. LOVE is BEAUTIFUL.” Unathi shared to Instagram.
Mzwandile Moya, better known by his stage name Afrotraction has been serenading us all year with his musical prowess. He kicked off the year with his album “The launch of JazzYano” and his song Believe It was also well received.
DJ Keyez introduced the track onto the Ultimate Kaya 959 Top 30 over the weekend and South Africans are already pitting Ngowakho as the song for lovers to do what lovers do:
