On 12 April 2018, Kaya 959 Talk, in collaboration with the Nelson Mandela Foundation, paid tribute to Mam’ Winnie Madikizela-Mandela with a three-hour women-led panel discussion. The panel consisted of feminists, writers, activists, analysts, and most importantly, women who loved Mam’ Winnie and were grateful for her legacy.

That evening, Lebohang Pheko, Gail Smith, Busisiwe Seabe, Lebo Mashile and Sithembile Mbete, who was also the moderator, discussed their experiences of Mam’ Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and how her legacy should be preserved. Breakfast with David producer Shoeshoe Qhu was the MC for the conversation.
For the full three hours, the auditorium at the Nelson Mandela Foundation was electric. Listen to the conversation below.
