A Free State pastor is due in court on charges of rape and human trafficking. The 54-year-old man was arrested by Hawks officers at the weekend.
Hawks Free State spokesperson, Captain Christopher Singo, said the woman was offered a domestic job at the pastor’s home.
“She was also asked to look after his 4-year-old son. The woman was told the pastor would be attending a church service in Thaba Nchu overnight and she must look after the boy,” Singer said.
It is alleged that the man did not leave the house and raped the woman repeatedly on Friday and Saturday nights.
