The only survivor from the Zandspruit mob attack says the police miraculously arrived at the scene before he caught fire.
He has since been discharged from hospital and is currently in hiding.
Speaking to Kaya News exclusively for the first since the mob attack that claimed the lives of eight victims, the survivor recounts the events of that fateful day.
Last month, nine men accused of crimes in the community were beaten, tortured and burnt alive.
In this Kaya News exclusive, the survivor speaks to reporter Katleho Sekhotho detailing what happened from the moment the community stormed into their homes until they were beaten and set on fire.

On the night of the attack, the survivor says he was in a local drug den, smoking with others.
He claims that a group of men came looking for the drug dealer but rounded up everyone present.
The survivor says that he and others were then dragged to a sports field where their attackers seemed determined to kill them.
