Media personality and reality star Kim Kardashian West failed her first year of law school.
She revealed not passing her “baby bar” law exam. In scenes shot in October 2020, the 40-year-old reality star, striving to follow in her late father Robert Kardashian’s footsteps by becoming a lawyer, broke the bad news to sisters Kourtney and Khloe.
“So you guys, I did not pass the “baby bar,” she remarked in a sneak preview for this week’s episode of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” on E! Online.
She may have failed her first year, but she has succeeded when she lobbied for the release of Alice Marie Johnson, who had been sentenced to life in prison for her minor role in the drug trade in 1996.
Kim later explained the structure of her studies to the camera, insisting that her path is “harder” than the normal one.
“If you do law school the way I do it, it’s a four-year curriculum rather than your conventional three-year curriculum,” she continued.
In a flashback, Kim’s tutor Jessica Jackson advised her that she needed 560 to pass the exam and that although though she scored 474 on her first try, she shouldn’t be discouraged. “That is extraordinarily close on a test that most people are not taking in the middle of a pandemic,” the attorney added. “I feel like dad would be extremely proud of you regardless, just the fact that you’re pursuing this,” Kourtney said.
“I think it’s highly respectable what you’re doing. I think the time that you get taken away from your family, your kids”, Khole said.
