Former South African international Siphiwe “Shabba” Tshabalala has celebrated a major off-pitch milestone after graduating from the inaugural FIFA Players Executive Programme.
The Kaizer Chiefs legend marked the conclusion of the 14-month course by sharing photos from the ceremony alongside a biography detailing his decorated footballing career, which spans spells at Free State Stars, BB Erzurumspor, and AmaZulu FC.
During his playing days, Tshabalala enjoyed immense domestic success, lifting the South African Premiership, MTN 8, Nedbank Cup, and Telkom Knockout.
On the global stage, he earned 89 caps for Bafana Bafana, featuring in the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and netting the unforgettable opening goal of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, a moment permanently etched into football history.
Reflecting on his journey, Tshabalala released a statement highlighting his desire to empower future generations:
“As a young boy from Soweto, football changed my life and gave me opportunities I could never have imagined.
