Veteran DJ and creative entrepreneur Oskido joined Glen Lewis and Kgomotso Meso in studio to announce the highly anticipated return of his boutique lifestyle festival, Big Day Out 2026.
Now in its third edition, the event has firmly established itself as a premier cultural moment in Johannesburg, honouring South Africa’s rich dance music heritage while celebrating its global impact.
Taking place on Saturday, 28 November 2026 at the picturesque Huddle Park in Linksfield, this year’s festival promises a beautifully curated family affair.
Building on the massive success of previous years, the 2026 instalment is set to blend music, food, fashion, and culture, bringing together cross-generational line-ups that span from the golden era of Kwaito to contemporary Afro-Tech and Amapiano.

In a major first for the festival, Oskido revealed that the event will expand to feature two separate stages this year to accommodate a much larger line-up of legendary artists and rising stars. The production will also see expanded bars and enhanced premium hospitality offerings.
“Every year we listen carefully to what our audience wants, and the message was clear last year, give us more music,” stated Oskido. “That’s exactly what we’re delivering in 2026 with an additional stage. We are all about bringing people together through music, culture and shared experiences.”
