The National Lottery’s PowerBall jackpot has grown to an estimated R165 million ahead of tonight’s draw on Friday, 19 June 2026.
This follows a series of rollovers which have now made it one of the largest prizes ever available in South Africa.
Should a single ticket match all five numbers in tonight’s draw, the winner could walk away with a life-changing amount of approximately R165 million.
How PowerBall works
To play PowerBall, participants must select five numbers from one to 50 and an additional PowerBall number from one to 16.
Players who correctly match all the winning numbers qualify for the jackpot prize.
Tickets cost R10 per entry, while an additional PowerBall Xtra entry costs R5.
Where to buy tickets
PowerBall tickets can be purchased from authorised National Lottery retailers across the country. They are also available online and through participating banking platforms.
Sales close 30 minutes before the live draw, which takes place at 9 PM on Friday, 19 June.
The draw is broadcast on SABC1, SABC2 and e.tv.
Players urged to check tickets carefully
Players are encouraged to check their tickets after the draw and to sign the back of their ticket immediately after purchase.
With the jackpot now sitting at an estimated R165 million, tonight’s draw could create South Africa’s next multi-millionaire.
