- Gauteng residents can expect cool and dry weather conditions throughout the weekend.
- Temperatures in both Pretoria and Johannesburg are forecast to remain below 20°C, with cloudy to partly cloudy skies.
- No rainfall is expected, with a 0% chance of rain forecast for both cities.
If you live in Gauteng, you might want to keep your winter jacket close by this weekend as cool and dry weather conditions are expected across the province’s two major metros.
According to the South African Weather Service (SAWS), residents can expect cloudy to partly cloudy conditions throughout the weekend, with temperatures expected to remain below 20°C.
In the Capital City, temperatures will range between a minimum of 10°C and a maximum of 18°C on Saturday.
On Sunday, cloudy conditions are expected during the morning before becoming partly cloudy later in the day.
SAWS predicts a minimum temperature of 10°C and a maximum of 17°C for Pretoria on Sunday, with a rainfall amount of 0mm and a rain probability of 0%.
The City of Gold is also expected to experience cloudy to partly cloudy conditions throughout the weekend.
On Saturday, Johannesburg will be cloudy during the early hours, partly cloudy in the morning, cloudy again during the afternoon and partly cloudy by the evening.
Forecast temperatures are expected to reach 13°C at 2am, 10°C at 8am, 15°C at 2pm and 12°C at 8pm.
The weather service said the city can expect a rainfall amount of 0mm and a rain probability of 0%.
Sunday will begin with cloudy conditions before skies become partly cloudy later in the day.
