The family of South African student Kgothatso Mdunana is now making arrangements for their daughter’s final journey home after they raised more than R500 000 funds.
The Mdunana family has expressed gratitude to the generous donors who have helped raise funds to repatriate the body of their daughter – Kgothatso.
Kgothatso allegedly fell through the window of a 13th floor building in Hangzhou in China, while visiting a friend. She is originally from Lombardy West in Johannesburg.
She was studying civil engineering at the Shandong University of Technology and was about to complete her degree.

Her mother Nomsa Mdunana says they hope the repatriation process will be completed this week. The family will be meeting with the embassy on Tuesday morning to finalize some of the paperwork to ensure the repatriation process can now occur within the next week or so.
