South African hip hop star KidX, real name Bongi Nkosi Mahlangu, recently celebrated a major milestone, officially graduating as a qualified Sound and Audio Engineer.
KidX shared his excitement and gratitude:
“We did it. Officially a qualified Sound/Audio Engineer and all that good stuff.” 🥹
He expressed his appreciation for Revolution Media Academy, where he studied through a bursary programme he helped develop, which was also extended to other students.
Reflecting on the experience, he described it as life-changing and thanked his team for helping bring his dream to life:
“A huge thank you to my A-team for helping me put this together @givenzulu, @liza_monageng and @fuzzroots. Thank you for believing in my little dream. God bless all your endeavours, let it not end with me.”
KidX also acknowledged his family for their love, support and encouragement throughout his journey:
“I couldn’t have done it without you! This achievement is ours.”
KidX first rose to stardom as part of the South African rap collective Cashtime, alongside Zingah, formerly Smashis.
After Cashtime Fam disbanded in 2014, KidX continued with the revamped Cashtime Life, gaining further recognition, particularly with the 2015 hit Caracara, which became a cultural anthem.
