South African actor and media personality, Hungani Ndlovu, has announced the launch of his new charity organization, the Hungani Ndlovu Foundation.
4The foundation will focus on youth development and men’s wellness, a topic the star feels is a critical area that needs more support.
Ndlovu is the latest in a line of local celebrities to use their platform for philanthropy, joining the likes of Nomzamo Mbatha with the Nomzamo Lighthouse Foundation, Black Coffee with his eponymous foundation, and Siya Kolisi’s Kolisi Foundation.
These organisations typically aim to uplift and assist those in need, and Ndlovu’s new venture appears to be following in their footsteps with a specific focus on two vital community areas.
“The HUNGANI NDLOVU FOUNDATION is here! A movement for youth development and men’s wellness,” Ndlovu said in a statement.
“Our logo is more than just a symbol. It’s a promise: to break stigmas, to create safe spaces, and to help others thrive. Walk with us! Heal with us! Grow with us!”
Ndlovu, a multi-talented actor, dancer, and motivational speaker, first gained prominence for his role as Romeo Medupe on the popular television series Scandal!.
The 31-year-old star has since built a strong following, and is known for his advocacy and inspirational messages shared across his social media platforms. His decision to establish a foundation dedicated to mental health and youth empowerment is a natural extension of his public persona.
The foundation aims to tackle important social issues head-on, seeking to provide a supportive environment for young people while addressing the often-overlooked topic of men’s mental and emotional health. More details on the foundation’s specific initiatives are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
