It’s been two years since Natasha Vermaak, née Joubert, was crowned Miss South Africa, and the former titleholder is feeling nostalgic. The model and entrepreneur, who married earlier this year, took to Instagram to mark the anniversary of her crowning on 13 August 2023.
Sharing a series of photos and videos, Vermaak gave fans an intimate look at the emotional moment she won.
“Two years. 13 August 2023. When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen,” she wrote. “I remember these moments so clearly, so vividly. I was so present that night, and I had never surrendered more to my fate.”
On her Instagram Stories, she added that the win came as “pure shock,” admitting, “the shock hit me like a wave, from here I remember very little.”
Her nostalgic posts didn’t stop there. Just a few days prior, Vermaak shared a throwback photo of herself holding the coveted crown, captioning it, “A year ago today was my last day as Miss SA… Three memories to forever and everrr cherish!”
