South African rapper L-Tido signs a DStv broadcast deal, allowing his show on YouTube, to now air weekly on the satellite television platform.

South African rapper L-Tido, real name Thato Madonsela, has announced a significant broadcast deal with DStv, marking a major advancement in his podcast career.
The artist, known for hits like ‘”Dlala Ka Yona” and “Calling”, and a prominent figure in the local hip-hop scene for over a decade, revealed via social media that his three-year-old YouTube podcast will now be aired every Thursday on DStv.
The show has cultivated a substantial following online, attracting thousands of viewers.
L-TL-Tido also took the opportunity to playfully jab at podcasting rival Mac G. He shared an old clip of Mac G stating he would cancel his DStv subscription if L-Tido’s show ever replaced his, suggesting a shift in dynamics following Mac G’s reported controversies with the network.
This new broadcast deal is expected to significantly expand the reach of L-Tido’s podcast, bringing his content to a broader audience across the DStv platform.
