Four years on, Connie Ferguson lovingly remembers the playful spirit of her late husband, Shona Ferguson.

Today, June 30, 2025, marks four years since the passing of beloved South African actor and producer Shona Ferguson.
The multi-award-winning figure tragically died on 30 July 2021, due to complications from COVID-19.
As is their tradition, the Ferguson family has taken to social media to share heartfelt tributes on this somber anniversary.
This year, his widow, acclaimed actress and producer Connie Ferguson, offered a touching and humorous look back at the man she loved, sharing a throwback video that highlighted Shona’s playful side.
In a heartfelt social media post accompanying the video, Connie wrote,
“The way he used to harass me! 😂 I miss you annoying me Dawg! 🥹 Thinking about you and missing you is just part of me now, and I’m okay with it. You are UNFORGETTABLE! You are in me, and I LOVE YOU FOREVER. ❤️ Long live my KING! 👑 IV 🙏🏾🕯️🕊️🤍 #theSHOgoeson.”
