South African beauty influencer and content creator Lungile Thabethe recently took to social media to mark the first birthday of her daughter with DJ Speedsta.
In an emotional open letter shared with her followers, Lungile reflected on a year filled with wonder, growth, and unconditional love.
Titled simply “To My Beautiful Daughter”, the message is a testament to the joy motherhood has brought her.
“On your very first birthday, I wanted to write you something special – something you could read one day and know just how much you’ve meant to me from the very beginning,” she began.
In her message, Lungile describes the past year as the most meaningful of her life.
Watching her daughter grow, she says, has been nothing short of sacred.
“Every smile, every little milestone, every moment with you has felt like a glimpse of something sacred. You’ve brought colour and light into my world in a way I could never have imagined until you arrived.”
Lungile also opened up about how she always knew she wanted to be a mother, but somehow always felt that her journey into parenthood would be unique.
“I always felt that I was meant to be a mother to one special and brilliant child. And God, in His perfect wisdom, chose you.”
Calling her daughter her “one and only, my biggest blessing, my answered prayer,” Lungile expressed profound gratitude for the privilege of guiding her child through life.
“No matter where life takes you, I want you to remember this: you were loved long before you understood what love was, and that love will never fade.”The letter ends on a tender note that captures the depth of her love.
“You are my heart in human form. I am so proud to be your mom, and I always will be.”
