Musa Mseleku recently took to social media to issue a warning to his followers about online scammers.
He urged his audience to remain vigilant across all social media platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
“I am not running any business asking people to invest money. I don’t operate such a business on TikTok,” he emphasised.
Coincidentally, the topic of scams was also discussed on Siz The World this morning. Host Sizwe Dhlomo shared a personal experience of a suspicious phone call he received over the weekend.
“At first, the call didn’t raise any red flags,” he said. “But a few minutes in, I started suspecting it could be a scam.”
He explained:
“The caller told me there was fraud happening on my account and that he was going to send me a PIN. Then he said they would be suspending my line.
“Eventually, he realised I was onto him and transferred me to a so-called supervisor.
“If there’s fraud on my account, I know exactly who to call my provider. If I wasn’t vigilant, I could have fallen victim.”
The team also invited listeners to share their own experiences with scams.
