Chirwa’s academic journey runs parallel to her political career, having long been a vocal advocate for human rights, youth representation, and social justice.
A former MP, Chirwa’s accomplishment has been widely praised by EFF supporters and the broader public alike.
In the May 2024 general election, she was elected to represent the EFF in the Gauteng delegation to the National Council of Provinces (NCOP), the upper house of the South African Parliament, and was sworn in on June 15, 2024.
